Love these Carniolan Bees

The 2017 season has been very successful thus far.  My experiments of overwintering my Nucs following the Michael Palmer/Kirk Webster system has proven to be a great success.
Made 22 splits this spring and sold thus far 9 nucs.

My experiments with foundationless frames has been better than expected in my eyes, thinking I would have problems with too much drone comb or proper orientation of the combs in the hive.
I have found they draw out the combs much faster than plastic or even the wax wired foundation.
